Watford Mencap shortlisted for county honour

Learning disability charity Watford Mencap has been shortlisted for a Hertfordshire Care Providers Association Award.
Membership of the association, whose mission is “Sharing Best Practice in Care through Partnership”, is open to all providers of adult social care in Hertfordshire from the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Watford Mencap is shortlisted in the category of Best Care Business (Above 50 Employees).
Jane Pattinson, director of Watford Mencap, said: “The adults with a learning disability who use Watford Mencap’s services are all individuals, so we work with each of them individually to enable them to live the life they choose.’ Watford Mencap will now go before the judging panel on June 21 to provide more evidence of the quality of its work such as photos and testimonials.
The award ceremony will be held on November 30 in Knebworth Barns.
